Sydney v Wanderers

SRTC took at team of 8 and 2 partners to take on The Wanderers on a chilly night in Ballarat. The match started at 6pm and SRTC got off to a flier by winning the first 3 matches. The Wanderers then kicked into gear and won the next 3 matches to level the score. The final match was a very tight affair with SRTC coming out on top 8-6 to win the decider. It should be noted that Sav Cremona played a match for The Wanderers, on the basis he is one of the founding members, and won his match for them however lost his game for SRTC!! Cath Faull played a game for us and we were delighted to welcome her to our team for her first match with the club. Rob Jolly prepared a fabulous supper and when the final match ended at around 11pm, we all stayed in the club rooms until well past 1am enjoying the company and tall stories.

We were joined for the night by Geoff Pollard, former President of Tennis Australia, who drove up from Melbourne to watch the match. His support was much appreciated and his company very entertaining.
