What is the Sydney Real Tennis Club?

We’re a newly formed club with a goal to build a new real tennis court in Sydney

We plan to combine members from the original court with new players, and people who’ve played in other clubs in Australia and around the world

Our aim is to raise funds to find a new location in Sydney and build a new real tennis court

What’s so good about Real Tennis?

Once you start playing, it’s impossible not to get hooked on it!

It’s a cross between tennis and squash, but much more tactical (sometimes described as “mobile chess”)

When you hit a good, solid shot – it’s like a hitting a great tee shot in golf

It has a handicap system, so players of different abilities can compete on equal terms

How can you help?

By becoming a full member, you will help us to raise the capital we need to build a new court – partly through direct revenue and partly through corporate sponsorship.

As a member,  you’ll be invited to join various SRTC social events , and will be invited to play in the lawn tennis, squash and golf events planned throughout the year. You will also be eligible to join our real tennis touring team representing Sydney and  playing against other clubs around Australia and internationally.
